Belgian accordionist Hartwin Dhoore and Italian guitarist Jacopo Ventura join forces in a refined acoustic duo that bridges Northern and Southern European folk traditions. Their music blends the lyricism and harmonic depth of the Flemish school with Mediterranean warmth and rhythmic energy, enriched by elements of jazz, musette, and Irish traditional music.
Together, Dhoore & Ventura create an elegant, soulful dialogue between accordion and guitar, blending original compositions and reimagined traditional tunes with
interplay, improvisation, and deep emotional connection.

A composer and accordionist from Flanders, Hartwin Dhoore has been an activetouring musician across Europe and North America since the early 2010s.Known initially as a founding member of the acclaimed Trio Dhoore, he helpedredefine modern Flemish instrumental folk before launching his own HartwinDhoore Trio, a project exploring melodic interplay, improvisation, and cinematic soundscapes. His style treats the diatonic accordion as a lyrical and expressive instrument, merging the sensibility of musette and jazz phrasing with the roots of Northern European dance music. Hartwin has released several albums of original compositions and authored the tune book “Out of the Box”, featuring over a hundred of his melodies. He has performed at major folk events and showcases across Europe, Canada, and the United States, including Folk Alliance International, where he represented contemporary European folk creativity on the global stage. Italian guitarist Jacopo, multi-instrumentalist and composer, is known for his versatility and elegant musicianship. A key figure in the new generation of European folk artists, he is a founding member of Gadan (Celtic-Americana powerhouse group Gadan, mixing Irish trad, bluegrass, and roots),; Ensemble Sangineto; and Lyradanz. With Gadan, Jacopo has toured extensively across the United States, performing at prestigious festivals such as Milwaukee Irish Fest, Dublin Ohio Irish Festival, Iowa Irish Fest, Kansas City Irish Fest, and Musikfest Bethlehem, among others. He has also appeared at the Library of Congress in Washington D.C. with Ensemble Sangineto and has been officially invited to Folk Alliance International as both performer and delegate. His musical identity merges solid acoustic roots with an openness to jazz harmony, Mediterranean phrasing, and a refined sense of arrangement.
